Abstract yoni sculpture. Orgasm

Ah, the big 'O', the elusive orgasm—sometimes it’s the fireworks finale, and other times, it feels like chasing a mirage in the desert. For some women, the “Big O” comes naturally (lucky you!), while others might find themselves asking, “Is something wrong with me?” Spoiler: absolutely not. As intimacy expert Susan Bratton says, “It’s never too late to learn about your own pleasure,” and for women, that journey is as unique as their fingerprints.

The truth is, a lot of us are stuck in our heads—thinking about our to-do lists, body image, or wondering if we left the oven on. Others find their groove only with the help of a trusty toy or a healthy 100% coconut lube like Loobco. Websites like OMGYes are game-changers, giving women and their partners a literal roadmap to pleasure (yes, there’s science behind those swirls and strokes). But in Australia? We’re still catching up. Sex ed often skips the “pleasure” part, and open conversations about women’s orgasms are still more “giggle behind closed doors” than “let’s normalise this.”

So, how do we turn the tide? It starts with ditching the shame and embracing curiosity. Whether it’s exploring your body solo, having open chats with your partner, or giving yourself permission to grab the coconut lube, a toy (or two), a glass of wine. Whatever it takes, the Big O isn’t a goal—it’s a practice. And if you’re still on your journey, that’s okay. Because pleasure isn’t a race—it’s an adventure. And hey, Australia, maybe it’s time we put as much energy into these conversations as we do into football.
